Interior design professionals will be privy to a new design event in Chicago this Fall. The first annual DesignChicago will be held October 10-11 at the Merchandise Mart. The event will feature product debuts, keynote speakers, and presentations in select showrooms on floors 6, 16, 17 and 18 of the Design Center, as well as food, beverages, and networking opportunities.

Presentations include The World According to Larry Laslo; A Toast to the Ones To Watch; Women’s Buying Rituals; and An Insiders Look at DreamHome. The Mart’s design house, DreamHome is a showcase by nine Chicago design firms including: Nate Berkus Associates; Athalie Derse; Marshall Morgan Erb Design; Douglas Hoerr Landscape Architecture; Kaufman Segal Design; Kara Mann Design; Eva Quateman Interiors; Tom Stringer Inc.; and Heather G. Wells.

A raffle benefiting Harrington School of Design’s scholarship program will offer attendees the chance to win one of 30 one-of-a-kind “sample” bags, composed of the newest Design Center fabrics.
