Interior Designers Institute of British Columbia Awards of Excellence

Twenty firms took to the stage of the Scotiabank Theater in Vancouver last month to accept the Interior Designers Institute of British Columbia Awards of Excellence. Hosted by Canadian TV personality Russell Porter, the program conferred 27 awards for projects in 10 categories: Residential, Multi-Residential, Hospitality, Workplace Total, Workplace Partial, Educational and Institutional, Retail, Health and Wellness, Other, and Best of Show.

Winners were selected from 59 submissions by members of both the IDI and The Architectural Institute of British Columbia, and judged by a panel of three design principals. Seeton Shinkewski Design Group snagged three honors—a G old and Silver for Workplace Total, and Silver for Retail—w hile best-of-show accolades went to Acton Ostry Architects for King David High School in Vancouver.
