Architecture Building Project Dolphin Stadium

Since 1987, Miami’s Dolphin Stadium has focused on the fans, catering to the spectator experience with comfort, convenience, and entertainment that reaches far beyond the action on the field. After two decades, the owners of Dolphin Stadium chose to partner with Kansas City-based HOK Sport, the same firm that built the stadium, to complete an extensive, $300 million renovation.
The luxury suites offer the supreme experience, with both amenities and ambiance suited for premium-paying guests. Personal attendants, private bathrooms, kitchenettes, food, cushy seats, and flat-panel TVs abound. And then there’s the final Dolphin-designer touch: light teal- and orange-accented walls, with matching Hunter Douglas Torsion-Spring ceilings in cool blue. These ceilings were specified for their high quality and side-spring design that allows easy plenum access.
But the upgrades to Dolphin Stadium are not all geared to the higher-priced ticket buyers - everyone gets in on the action. Closer to the field, there is now twice as much floor space, allowing spectators more room to move around and stretch their legs. Hundreds of new high-definition plasma screen televisions are mounted all around the stadium, providing coverage to game goers, whether in their seats, waiting for food, or running to the restrooms. To top it off, standing tall (and wide) above these new additions is one of the sports world’s largest digital scoreboards.
One of the first venues to be privately financed, Dolphin Stadium’s very creation depended in part on the sale of club-level seating and executive suites. Thanks to the recent renovations, Dolphin Stadium ensures each and every guest that they’ll be treated to a winning experience (if not always a win).
