Spanish Real Estate company goes global

Grupo Lar Sol (Lar Sol) part of Spain’s largest privately-owned property developer is expanding globally to strengthen even further its position in the second home market.

Key to the company’s new strategy to reposition itself within the international property market is the creation of a stronger corporate image under the new name of Grupo Lar Sol.

Grupo Lar Sol is a subsidiary of Grupo Lar, one of Spain’s most well respected developers. In 2006 16.79 per cent of Grupo Lar was acquired by Morgan Stanley and the new alliance is supporting Grupo Lar’s growth strategy of tripling its size over the next five years. The Architect to Be Released On Blu-ray and HD-DVD on December 5

Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner are continuing to expand on their idea of day and date movie releases.

In a story from Variety, it seems like they will bring out their film The Architect on December 5 on Blu-ray and HD-DVD in addition to it’s standard DVD release, theatrical and cable runs.

In the film, Tonya Neely (Viola Davis) is a neighborhood activist on the south side of Chicago, trying to get her community to rally to tear down Eden Court, the dangerous housing project where she lives. Read More…

Century 21 Franchising Comes to Moscow

With the launch last week of Century 21’s operations in Moscow, real estate franchising appears to have arrived in Russia. Real estate agency Miel announced days before the launch that it would license its name and franchising rights to 150 individual agents, and Hirsh has sold rights to over 60 since 2003.

In recent years, real estate franchising has changed the face of developing markets. Bill Hunt, the senior vice president in charge of international operations at Realogy, Century 21’s parent company, oversaw the firm’s Chinese expansion. Read More…

US real estate brokers may not survive the worldwide depression of economies - existing home price down 1.7

The median home prices of existing homes stand at $225,000 - 1.7% down from a yaer earlier. The resient home owners are giving up. They are not agreeing to pay commision to real estate brokers for falling home prices.

It happened first time since 1995 and the magnitude looks like a crash. Real estate median price chart resembles the time delayed chart of 1929 stock market crash.

Since March existing home sales have fallen. the existing home owners were resilient so long. Now they are ready throw the towel. The prices ewill accelerate fast here and finally get into the third wave mode - the free fall. Read More…
